International Intrigue

Sounds like the start of a good spy movie, doesn’t it?

Sorry to disappoint.

This one isn’t that creative. What it is about, though,  is how I am incredibly intrigued and a little freaked out all at once.

I love that when I post something here, I get stats on all sorts of things. The number of people who read any particular of my posts. The day, weeks, months, and years someone read any post. How they ended up navigating to my blog for that particular post. And from which country they logged in. (it doesn’t give me personal specifics on anyone, so your international spy status is safe)

What intrigues me most is my international readers.

How in the heck did someone from Ireland, Sweden, Mexico, Germany, Israel,  Singapore ,Portugal and Canada even find me?

Now, I do realize there may be some netterweb voodoo going on; bots, trolls, funk. But what if there really are real people reading this mess all over the world?!? Who are these people, and HOW did they end up on my site? I’d so love to know. It does make the world seem a little smaller, and yet so much more gigantic all at the same time.

I’m headed to Ireland soon, and the thought that there is someone in that land who reads my highschool-term-paper-level scribbles is fascinating. I wonder who and where and why and what-the-heck.

It blows my mind.

So, whoever you all are, in whatever country you live, at whatever time of day you read, thank you! I hope you find my simple words at least somewhat entertaining, thought provoking, and worthy of your time.
