Preface – again.

It’s that time thing again. It bit. A lifetime’s worth of change/new/different has happened in just five short years. There’s no way a life’s worth of events could occur so rapid-fire, yet here we are, living it all. I’ll spend a while in catch-up mode, if I survive it. Time will tell. pun intended.

I think I’ve decided to just lay it all out. I’ve kept quiet for lots of folks for lots of time, and I may be almost done with that. Not sure. But as I write, I’ll use terms like, “we,” “us,” and you’ll just have to keep the timeline in your head to know of whom I speak.  If you even care.  How arrogant of me to assume you do.

If we read this when it’s all said and done and it seems spotty and hole-y and incomplete, just know that it’s by design. Or that I chickened out. Either is possible. You pick.

I could overview it all and speed up to now and just start over, but what fun would that be? I’d rather rip my heart out and bleed all over your screen.

I also spent about 3.67 seconds grappling over whether I should delete some older posts on my blog. But, nah, I’m not. Just like I don’t delete old photos from social media. Those things happened, those words flowed, those emotions were felt. Taking them off the site doesn’t negate them. Leaving them does, however, make the roadmap more complete.

I like maps.

So while I will still be sensitive to some things, most other things will be fair game. You don’t have to read it. Don’t be mad at me if you read it and don’t like it. You can always turn off the tv. Close the book. Walk away.
